Managing Sites
Each site in DCS has a dedicated management interface called the Site Manager. Here's how to navigate and use it effectively.
Accessing a Site
From the dashboard:
- Find your site in the "Your Sites" section
- Click on the site card
- You'll enter the Site Manager
Site Manager Overview
The Site Manager sidebar provides access to all site features:
Content
- Pages — View and manage site pages
- Text Overrides — Edit text content
- SEO & Metadata — Manage search optimization
- Blog — Create and manage posts
Development
- Development Requests — Submit and track requests
- Revisions — View version history
- Releases — Manage deployments
Analytics
- Site Analytics — Traffic and engagement
- Performance — Core Web Vitals
Settings
- Configuration — Site settings
- Team — User access management
Site Status
Your site displays a status indicator:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| 🟢 Live | Production site is active |
| 🟡 Building | Deployment in progress |
| 🔴 Error | Deployment failed |
| ⚪ Draft | Changes pending approval |
Draft vs. Production
DCS maintains two versions of your site:
Production
The live site that visitors see. Updates only when you explicitly approve them.
Draft/Development
A preview environment where you can:
- See pending text overrides
- Preview development request changes
- Test before going live
Common Tasks
View Site Preview
- Click "View Site" in the top navigation
- Choose "Production" or "Development"
- Site opens in a new tab
Check Recent Changes
- Navigate to "Revisions" in the sidebar
- View the change history
- Click any revision for details
Manage Access
- Go to "Settings" → "Team"
- Invite users by email
- Assign appropriate roles
Site Information
The Site Manager header shows:
- Site Name — Your site's display name
- Current Version — Active release version
- Dev Version — In-development version
- Domain — Production URL
Switching Sites
If you manage multiple sites:
- Click the site name in the breadcrumb
- Select from the dropdown
- Or return to the dashboard
Notifications
The bell icon shows site-specific notifications:
- Development request updates
- Deployment completions
- Team member activity
- Content changes by others
Quick Actions
Use keyboard shortcuts for common actions:
